Folding
The processes of folding and creasing are the very basis of making virtually any packaging format. They are essential to the form and structural integrity of a piece and can be refined to improve functionality, or explored to create surprise or surface interplay.
The development in CAD prototyping allows Progress to be experimental with this foundational element used to create a solid piece of packaging. Creases and folds can be used to define shapes, create handles, closures or pockets, as well as unexpected 3-dimensional flares and flourishes on a piece of packaging. Whether in the simplest form, exposing the beauty of rawness of a material, or more complex shapes, this process allows experiment and refinement of form and function.
